Job summary

Root Insurance is seeking a Staff Product Manager to define the vision, strategy, and roadmap for pricing platforms and the ML infrastructure that powers pricing decisions. You will own critical pricing capabilities, including the Pricing Platform System (PPS), and lead the evolution of the infrastructure, tooling, and decisioning systems at the center of Root’s pricing ecosystem.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of product management experience in fintech/insurtech or data‑intensive regulated environments.
• Strong systems thinking and experience with predictive modeling, APIs, and orchestration.
• Ability to drive LLM integration into data science workflows and pricing platforms.

Responsibilities

• Own Pricing Platform roadmap and vision for 2027 and beyond.
• Lead a team of engineers through full product lifecycle from ideation to deployment.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Data Science, and Actuarial to define platform needs and a data-driven roadmap.
• Develop end-to-end ML platform capabilities and explore LLM-enabled workflows.
• Create PRDs aligning business strategy with engineering plans.
• Accelerate data/model feature to production deployment and improve pricing workflow efficiency.
• Build self-service tooling for faster experimentation and feature creation.
• Support nationwide expansion by adapting pricing capabilities to new states.
