Job summary

Brex Inc. is seeking a Staff Product Manager for Expenses to own the enterprise expense management strategy and unify policy, compliance, approvals, substantiation, and ERP readiness.

You will lead cross-functional teams across Engineering, Design, Risk, Compliance, Accounting, and GTM to ship an AI-powered, auditable expense platform that scales for large enterprises. This role is based in the US with a hybrid work model requiring three in-office days per week.

Qualifications

• A track record of leading complex enterprise workflow or systems products.
• Strong fluency in backend systems, data models, integrations, and configurable architecture.
• Experience supporting extensive customer permutations without sacrificing usability.
• Ability to unite multiple domains under one strategy and operating model.
• Strong customer and design judgment across employee, manager, finance, and accounting experiences.
• Judgment on where AI adds value vs human review.
• Strong cross-functional influence and understanding of impact on enterprise sales and adoption.
• Expense management experience preferred; ERP or related software can substitute.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end strategy for enterprise expense management.
• Unify documentation, policy, compliance, approvals, substantiation, audit, and ERP readiness.
• Define the systems, data models, configurations, and controls complex enterprises require.
• Align specialized product teams around the complete expense lifecycle.
• Use AI to automate routine work and route only judgment-heavy exceptions to people.
• Partner with Design to make sophisticated enterprise workflows intuitive.
• Own adoption, workflow completion, manual-work reduction, close speed, retention, and software revenue.
