Job summary

Temporal is seeking a Staff Product Manager, Developer Lifecycle & Tooling, to own the strategy and roadmap for a coherent developer lifecycle: getting started, local development, testing and replay, deploy safety, code evolution, and the CLI experience.

You'll partner with portfolio leads to turn strategy into tooling across Temporal’s supported SDKs and production workflows, measuring success against setup speed, realistic local development, trusted testing and replay, and safer code evolution.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in product management with focus on developer tools.
• Experience turning ambiguous developer workflow problems into strategy and roadmaps.
• Fluent in software delivery workflows, testing, CI/CD, SDKs, CLIs.
• High standards for developer experience across CLIs, SDKs, APIs, docs.
• Translate emerging developer workflows into CLI, testing, deployment and docs requirements.
• Balance OSS, Temporal Cloud, and enterprise needs.
• Strong storytelling for technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Own the product strategy and roadmap for Temporal's developer lifecycle and tooling.
• Define developer experience goals for onboarding, local development, testing, replay, and CLI workflows.
• Turn signals into tooling bets to improve start-up, test, debug, evolve and deploy experiences.
• Collaborate with engineering and SDK teams to ship tooling across CLI, local dev, testing, replay, and deploy safety.
• Decide where to provide built-in tooling vs. integration points and where docs or templates are best.
• Shape a cross-SDK experience across Go, Java, TS, Python, .NET, and other languages.
• Define external developer lifecycle narratives with Developer Relations and Marketing.
• Ship templates, migration guides, examples, and adoption support.
