Product Management at Rise8

We seek a Staff Product Manager in Cybersecurity to lead strategy and development for secure, mission-critical software aligned with NIST 800-37 Rev2 and RMF standards, aiming for continuous Authority to Operate (cATO).

In secure environments, you will embed security and compliance into the software development lifecycle, ensuring standards are met for government and defense contracts.

Responsibilities include:
  • Leading the integration of NIST 800-37 Rev2 and RMF into SDLC.
  • Ensuring products meet cATO and ongoing security assessments.
  • Collaborating with teams to define security requirements aligned with federal standards.
  • Teaching clients about continuous monitoring and automated compliance.
  • Facilitating security-focused product planning and strategy.
  • Guiding cross-functional teams through secure agile and DevOps processes.
  • Engaging with security assessors to maintain compliance throughout development.
Qualifications
  • 10+ years in product management, especially in cybersecurity.
  • Strong experience with agile, DevOps, and security integration.
  • Knowledge of tools for continuous monitoring and compliance.
  • Experience with federal clients and compliance projects.
  • Active engagement in cybersecurity communities.
  • Leadership in complex compliance projects.
  • Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Mentoring skills for other product managers.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Deep knowledge of NIST 800-37 Rev2, RMF, and cATO.
  • Experience with federal cybersecurity standards like FISMA, FedRAMP.
  • Proven guidance through RMF processes, including initial and continuous ATO.
  • Passion for secure, compliant, and agile product development.
Salary & Benefits

Salary range: $156,696.12 to $235,044.18, based on experience and market data.
