Intuit is hiring staff-level product leadership to own an AI-enabled payroll platform upgrade for mid-market and enterprise customers. You will drive automation of time, pay, tax, compliance, and money movement, partnering with engineering, data science, design, and legal to balance guardrails with velocity.

The role emphasizes shipping in ambiguity, delivering auditable automated workflows, and improving retention and efficiency in a regulated domain.

Qualifications

5+ years in product management in high-stakes regulated workflows (payroll/tax/HR).
Experience with ML/LLM-powered automation and eval loops.
Technical degree or equivalent depth for system design collaboration.
Ability to turn customer pain into an actionable execution plan in ambiguity.
Bonus: shipped automated or agentic products with measurable impact.

Responsibilities

Move payroll-related product from manual entry to autopilot with detection of readiness and proactive approvals.
Build background compliance to catch errors before shipping, with auditable explanations.
Redesign data model and permissions to improve automation reliability.
Design agentic workflows that emulate a high-performing payroll admin while allowing user overrides or rollbacks.
Collaborate daily with engineering, data science, design, and legal on tradeoffs and guardrails.
Set and defend metrics to prove reduced payroll exceptions, faster completion, and higher retention.
