Job summary

Runway is seeking a Product Engineer to join our team and help build cutting-edge, AI-powered video creation and collaboration tools. You’ll work across the stack, designing frontend experiences and building backend systems powering generative AI features.

You’ll collaborate with a world-class team to deploy AI capabilities, integrate third-party APIs, and iterate rapidly in a fast-paced, ownership-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years in software engineering, full-stack preferred.
• Fluent in JS/TS and modern web frameworks.
• Experience with AI APIs and LLM integrations.
• Experience architecting production-ready systems and performance debugging.
• Ability to rapidly prototype and iterate under tight deadlines.
• Humility and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Build frontend interfaces using the cutting-edge AI video generation models Gen-4.5 and Aleph 2.0.
• Develop end-to-end features, backend APIs powering generative tools.
• Design LLM-powered features and conversational interfaces.
• Collaborate with engineering to push browser-based content creation.
• Tackle frontend tasks for Runway's ML-based tools.
• Improve performance, reliability, and code quality.
