Job summary

Aquent Talent is partnering with a major HealthTech company to recruit a Staff Product Designer for a Temp-to-Perm opportunity in San Francisco. You will own the end-to-end design of large, service-rich mobile features for a consumer-facing digital health platform, with potential for conversion to permanent employment.

You will lead the design process from ideation to high-fidelity UI, research, wireframing, prototyping, and collaboration with product and engineering to deliver scalable

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of professional product design experience focused on consumer-facing mobile apps.
  • Strong portfolio with high-craft visual and interaction design for complex mobile products.
  • Proficiency with Figma or Sketch.
  • Experience driving end-to-end design initiatives from concept to launch.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

This critical role gives you the opportunity to make an immediate impact by owning the end‑to‑end design of large, service-rich mobile features for a consumer‑facing digital health platform, with potential for conversion to permanent employment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the end‑to‑end design process for large, consumer‑facing mobile application features from initial ideation to high‑fidelity UI.
  • Own user research, wireframing, prototyping, and high‑craft interaction design for complex digital health experiences.
  • Collaborate closely with cross‑functional partners in product management and engineering to define requirements and deliver scalable solutions.
  • Present and articulate design rationale and strategic decisions to cross‑functional partners and company leadership.
  • Integrate user feedback, data insights, and mobile design best practices into iterative design solutions.
  • Identify design challenges proactively and propose innovative solutions, leveraging modern technologies like AI to optimize workflows.
Requirements & Qualifications
  • 10+ years of professional product design experience with a primary focus on consumer‑facing mobile applications.
  • Exceptional portfolio showcasing high‑craft visual and interaction design for complex mobile products.
  • Advanced proficiency with industry‑standard design and prototyping tools, such as Figma or Sketch.
  • Demonstrated track record of independently owning and driving large, end‑to‑end design initiatives from concept to launch.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills to articulate design decisions to leadership.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience designing for consumer‑facing health tech, fintech, or top‑tier consumer apps (e.g., Instacart, Headspace, Apple, Instagram, Cash App, Robinhood).
  • Practical experience or strong curiosity regarding the integration of AI tools into the design workflow.

The target hiring compensation range for this role is $70-80/hr. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
