fomo in NYC is hiring a Staff Product Designer to own the end-to-end design of our growing product family, including spot trading, tokenized equities, and perps. You'll shape design direction with founders, product, and engineering, build a scalable design system, and mentor designers as the team grows.

This in-person role requires strong craft, strategic thinking, and comfort working closely with frontend engineers.

Formación

• 8+ years of product design experience, including leadership or staff-level experience
• Portfolio showing craft and strategic impact with outcomes
• Experience setting direction for a product or platform and building/evolving a design system
• Ability to influence founders, product, and engineering leaders without formal authority
• Strong prototyping skills and comfort shipping with AI tools
• Autonomy and ownership on a small, flat team, with growth ambition
• Experience designing complex consumer financial products, real-time data interfaces, or crypto is a plus
• Personal crypto trading experience is a plus and aligns with our product

Responsabilidades

• Own design of a full product line across mobile and web from problem framing to shipped product
• Set design direction with founders and engineering on what to build and why, in what order
• Keep multiple product lines coherent so users move between them without relearning
• Lead the architecture of the design system including patterns for trading, data, charts, and social
• Prototype fast at high fidelity and collaborate with frontend engineers through implementation
• Raise craft by applying design principles and providing clear critique
• Help grow the design team: hiring, interviewing, onboarding, and mentorship
• Push AI and new tooling to speed up design and shipping
