Job summary

DoorDash is seeking a Staff Product Designer to operate across product surfaces, not just a single team, helping the design org scale. You will build reusable workflows, shared tools, and decision frameworks to lift every designer's output while driving measurable business outcomes.

You will mentor others, influence roadmaps through live prototypes, and advance responsible AI usage. Expect collaboration with cross-functional teams and a fast-paced, high-impact environment.

Qualifications

• Track record of shipping work that drives measurable outcomes at scale.
• Body of work demonstrating craft excellence, systems thinking, and leadership through influence — shipped features, working prototypes, or open source tools.
• Demonstrated scope: shaped team priorities, built tools or systems used by multiple designers, influenced adjacent roadmaps.

Responsibilities

• Define projects with a clear point of view on what to build, writing briefs that synthesize inputs into milestones.
• Bring clarity to ambiguous cross-team problems and turn them into actionable work that ships.
• Shape projects from concept through execution, guiding design direction and shipping work that drives outcomes.
• Design solutions spanning multiple workflows and contribute to shared tools that improve productivity.
• Build trusted relationships across teams, influencing roadmaps with live prototypes and evidence-based thinking.
• Mentor peers, recruit, and promote inclusive practices to raise design org impact.
