Deel is seeking a Staff Product Designer for the Core Platform to shape Home and a broad, platform-wide initiative. You will own design direction across the Home experience and partner with cross-functional teams to drive impactful outcomes.

You will mentor senior designers, collaborate with PMs and engineers, and help scale the design system while ensuring a coherent product experience across the platform. This is a fully remote role with asynchronous collaboration.

About the role

Core sits in Foundation, Deel's top design priority for the coming year. You will work on Home, which spans the whole platform, and on a new, broad initiative. You will set direction and work across the company.

What you are expected to do

• Own design for Home and the new platform-wide initiative.

• Set direction rather than wait for it; move between Core areas as priorities change.

• Work with people across the org, from US sales to risk and compliance.

• Act as a key partner to PM and Engineering leads in defining the roadmap: what gets built, why and when.

• Connect multiple domains and keep the product experience coherent and consistent.

• Mentor Senior Designers and help with hiring: recruit from your network, interview and raise the bar.

• Switch context fast, solve the problem and make decisions on your own.

• Ship at speed, then keep iterating.

What you need to succeed

• Staff-level product design experience across broad, ambiguous areas.

• At least 10 years of experience leading end-to-end product design for web and/or mobile applications.

• Strong UX and UI expertise, with a history of working with, implementing or scaling design systems.

• A track record of cross-functional alignment: explaining complex strategy to leadership and managing stakeholder expectations.

• Full-cycle design ownership, from ideation and strategy to implementation and design QA.

• Very high craft and a portfolio with a wow effect. A portfolio with at least one case study is required.

• AI is your first tool, before Figma or a doc.

• You are a builder, mature and autonomous, comfortable in chaos.

A plus

• You can push your work to production.

• Personal projects.

• Experience at fast-moving product companies such as Uber, Revolut or Coinbase, or on products like Notion or Linear.
