Job summary

Handshake is building a new AI-native product and seeks a Staff Product Designer to shape the foundational experience for a complex B2B workflow, focusing on how users move between conversational AI, agentic automation, and traditional tools.

You will own design end-to-end from concept through post-launch, collaborating with product, engineering, and data teams to drive impact while navigating ambiguity and crafting high-quality interactions.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of product design experience in enterprise/B2B environments.
• Strong ability to articulate design decisions and tradeoffs to partners and leadership.
• Deep visual and interaction design expertise with measurable impact.

Responsibilities

• Partner with product, engineering, and data teams to define problems and shape strategy for a new product area.
• Own end-to-end design from concept through post-launch, including user flows and high-fidelity mocks.
• Tackle complex, ambiguous problems and translate them into simple, consumer-grade solutions.
• Design core interaction patterns for AI and agents, including chat, composer, and transitions between conversational and structured parts.
• Iterate quickly with wireframes/prototypes to gather feedback.
• Maintain a strong craft standard in visual and interaction design.
• Collaborate with adjacent design teams to ensure a coherent employer experience.
