Job summary

Handshake is building an AI-native product from scratch, redefining how recruiters source, engage, and manage talent. As Staff Product Designer, you’ll shape the foundational experience and collaborate with an AI recruiting assistant at the center of workflows.

You’ll navigate ambiguity, simplify complex processes, and push a strong point of view on how users interact with AI and agents daily, joining a team that values craft and collaboration.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of product design experience in enterprise/B2B products with complex workflows.
• Strong communicator who articulates design decisions and tradeoffs to leadership.
• Deep visual and interaction design expertise with shipped work and impact.
• Experience incorporating generative AI tools into the design process while maintaining product thinking.

Responsibilities

• Partner with product, engineering, and data teams to define problems and shape strategy for a high-visibility product area.
• Own design end-to-end from concept to post-launch iterations; create user flows, prototypes, and high-fidelity mocks.
• Translate complex workflows into simple consumer-grade solutions.
• Design core interaction patterns for AI and agents, focusing on chat, composer, and transitions between conversational and structured modes.
