Databricks is hiring a Staff Product Designer to shape a new product category and agent-driven experiences that bring the power of the Lakehouse to more users. This 0-to-1 initiative blends startup energy with Databricks scale.

You will collaborate with PM, Eng, and leadership to craft intuitive, data-driven workflows while maintaining flexibility and enterprise-grade power. Mentoring designers and shaping strategy are key parts of the role.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of product design work experience.
• A bachelor’s or master’s degree in design, computer science, human-computer interaction, or related field.
• Demonstrated ability to lead large and complex design projects and balance stakeholder needs.
• Designs that are rooted in a data-driven, well-researched UX process.
• System thinker with the vision to design big-picture strategy and the tactical steps for incremental engineering success.
• Unique combination of technical knowledge and visual design skills for powerful tooling.
• A portfolio showing end-to-end design from inception to production.
• Experience bridging technical and business users; familiarity with data, analytics, AI, or enterprise software is valued.
• Strong experience with modern development and AI-assisted coding tools to prototype ideas and collaborate with engineering.

Responsibilities

• Drive key product and design initiatives within a strategic new product area at Databricks.
• Define a new generation of agent-driven workflows from data and insights to decisions and action.
• Collaborate with product management, engineering, and leadership to shape enterprise features.
• Design intuitive experiences that simplify complex workflows for technical users.
• Develop understanding of business objectives, customer needs, and AI capabilities.
• Conduct user research to identify needs, pain points and activation opportunities.
• Mentor junior designers and grow the team.
