THE ROLE

We’re seeking a highly experienced and strategic Staff Product Designer with deep expertise in mobile app design to join our growing design team. In this role, you’ll play a pivotal part in shaping the mobile experience across our core products, taking on complex design challenges that span iOS and Android platforms.

As a design leader, you’ll work cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Research, and Marketing teams to craft intuitive, beautiful, and high-performing mobile interfaces. You’ll spearhead high-impact initiatives, champion mobile-first thinking, and raise the bar for design quality across the board. Your work will directly influence how users engage with our mobile apps and contribute to a seamless, delightful user experience that drives real business impact.

How You Will Make An Impact

• Drive the complete design lifecycle for key product projects, from initial concept to final implementation.
• Transform intricate challenges into user-friendly, clear, and visually appealing experiences.
• Facilitate cross-functional workshops, design sprints, and reviews to ensure understanding and agreement.
• Provide guidance and support to fellow designers, fostering a strong and cooperative design environment.
• Collaborate closely with product managers and engineers to identify issues, develop insights, and deliver excellent solutions.
• Contribute to the maintenance and advancement of our design system and UX guidelines across all products.
• Keep abreast of the latest industry developments and introduce new concepts and creative methods.
  
  

What Skills You’ll Need

• Extensive Design Experience: 7+ years in product design with a strong portfolio that showcases your process, strategic thinking, and impact, particularly in mobile-first environments.
• Mobile Expertise: Deep understanding of iOS, Android, mobile web UX patterns, React Native platform conventions, and responsive design principles.
• Track Record of Impact: Demonstrated success in designing and shipping complex, data-driven digital products that solve real user problems and drive business results.
• Tool Proficiency: Mastery of modern design and prototyping tools, including Figma, Sketch, Framer, Principle, or similar.
• Systems Thinking & Craft: Strong systems-level thinking combined with a sharp eye for detail and a passion for clean, user-centric design.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Excellent communication and collaboration skills with experience working closely with Product, Engineering, Research, and Marketing teams.
• Team Leadership: Experience mentoring or leading other designers and helping shape design culture or processes.
• Background in e-commerce (Shopify), SaaS, or mobile-first product design.
  
  

DOMAIN EXPERTISE

• Proven experience designing for Shopify technology partners.
• Strong background in e-commerce and mobile-first product design.
• Direct experience building and selling e-commerce solutions.
• Demonstrated ability to design products targeted at and adopted by Marketing teams.
  
  

SALARY RANGE: $190,000-$200,000

This position is not eligible for visa transfer or sponsorship.
