Job summary

Raydar is seeking a founding product designer for its AI-powered platform, located in New York City. You will define how the AI-native product feels, shape agent workflows, and set the visual quality bar across the user journey.

This is a rare chance to work directly with founders and engineering on a highly visible product in an early-stage startup. You will collaborate with product leadership to prototype ideas, iterate quickly, and elevate the design language while shipping impactful features

Qualifications

• 5+ years of product design experience with a strong shipping track record.
• Portfolio showing exceptional visual craft and novel zero-to-one work.
• Experience in an early-stage startup, ideally in B2B SaaS, productivity software, or applied AI.
• Genuine enthusiasm for AI as a design medium and active use of modern AI tools.
• High ownership, sound judgment, urgency, and comfort working directly with founders and engineers.
• Ability and willingness to work in the New York City office five days per week.
• Experience as a founding or sole designer at a venture-backed startup.
• A high-slope career path with rapid progression or recognition from a strong design fellowship.
• Experience designing creative tools, agent workflows, or AI-generated outputs.

Responsibilities

• Own the core experience for requesting, shaping, reviewing, editing, and publishing agent-generated work.
• Invent new interaction models for an AI product rather than inheriting a mature design system.
• Set the visual and creative quality bar for both the interface and the agent's output.
• Partner closely with engineering to improve defaults, constraints, evaluations, brand adherence, and feedback loops.
• Shape product strategy with founders and product leadership, then prototype and refine ideas quickly.
• Move fluidly from product architecture and systems thinking to detailed interaction and visual decisions.

With more than $71 million raised and a compact 20-person team, the company is at a rare point where strong traction meets a wide-open product and design language.

The role and why it matters

This is a founding design seat with direct access to product leadership, founders, and engineering. You will define how an AI-native product feels, how users direct and trust an agent, and what excellent generated work looks like across the customer journey.

Compensation and benefits

• Visa transfers may be considered for candidates who already hold valid U.S. work authorization. New visa sponsorship is not available.

Location and work model

This is a full-time, on-site role in New York, NY. The team works together in the Flatiron area five days per week.
