Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking an engineer to modernize and scale our ad-serving platform. The role focuses on high-throughput, low-latency systems, evolving the decision pipeline, and delivering new features in collaboration with product and customer success teams.

You will work in a fully remote setup with global teams, contributing to reliability, performance, and on-call readiness while leveraging cloud and IaC tools to maintain scalable infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Experience building and operating distributed systems in a cloud environment.
• Strong backend programming experience in at least one production language (Clojure, Rust, Node.js, Java, Kotlin, Scala).
• Experience designing latency-sensitive systems with tight response times.
• Experience with HTTP-based APIs and production service integrations.
• Experience working with transactional databases.

Responsibilities

• Evolve the ad decision pipeline: balancing, pacing, indexing, filtering, selection, budgeting.
• Improve platform architecture for scalability, reliability, security, and performance.
• Collaborate with product management to design and build new features.
• Provide operational oversight to keep the platform running 24/7.
• Collaborate with customer success to deliver value and drive growth.
