Qualifications

• Master’s in electrical engineering with a preference for power systems OR Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering with demonstrated leadership of power system design.
• Advanced knowledge of electrical engineering principles, power distribution design, protection, reliability, grounding, metering, equipment application.
• Experience with arc flash, short-circuit, protective device coordination, load-flow, power quality studies.
• Familiarity with NFPA 70/70E, IEEE, ANSI, IEC, OSHA electrical safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Exercise creativity, foresight, and independence over highly complex electrical infrastructure projects.
• Act as technical SME for management, facilities, maintenance, production, and cross-functional teams.
• Develop infrastructure vision, modernization goals, roadmaps, and investment priorities.
• Lead complex electrical projects from concept through design, procurement, construction, startup, and turnover.
• Develop and govern standards, specifications, and acceptance criteria for electrical infrastructure.
• Review and approve designs, submittals, shop drawings, as-builts, and deviations for reliability.
• Lead evaluation and selection of major equipment, consultants, contractors, and suppliers.
• Oversee arc flash, short-circuit, protective device coordination, and related studies.
• Plan asset lifecycle, maintenance integration, obsolescence, outages, and lessons learned.
• Interface with electric utilities on reliability, metering, interconnection, rates, and upgrades.
• Persuade stakeholders on advanced concepts and innovative solutions.
• Mentor engineers and staff while staying current with codes and practices.
