Job summary
Northrop Grumman is seeking a Staff Power Electronics Engineer to join our Baltimore, MD team. You will design high‑performance power supplies and power conversion systems for military applications, lead small multi‑disciplinary teams, and contribute to cost and schedule estimates while delivering robust hardware.
The role requires deep expertise in power electronics, simulation tools (SPICE, LTSpice, SABER, MATLAB), and disciplined engineering practices. U.S.
Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship is required and an active government clearance.
- 12 years of hands-on power supply or power systems design and development.
- 12 years of experience with isolated and non-isolated topologies & control techniques.
- 12 years of familiarity with SPICE, LTSpice, SABER, and MathCad.
Responsibilities
- Design power supply hardware, including simulation, schematic development, and PCB layout.
- Conduct technical trade studies to optimize performance.
- Perform worst-case analysis and reliability assessments for robustness.
- Provide manufacturing support and resolve production issues.
- Develop ATPs and perform initial hardware checkout and testing.
- Work in a lab to support hardware development, integration, and production.
