Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking Power Electronics Engineers to join our growing design solutions team located in Baltimore, MD. The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's Power Conversion Technology design group, working with our other talented engineers to develop state of the art power supplies and power products for military applications. The applicant must be a strong team participant, have excellent communication skills, and be resourceful and multi-talented. Technically, this applicant must be capable of performing and leading teams in the detailed design and analysis of power conditioning equipment associated with power supplies, variable speed drives, frequency converters, and multi-level converters in a wide variety of applications. Implementation will involve advanced power conversion technology employing high frequency PWM, multi-level architecture, high speed communications, and digital and analog controls. Modeling and simulation using SABER for power stages and SABER or MATLAB for controls is essential for validating hardware design and performance. Individual needs to lead small multi-disciplinary teams, support cost and schedule estimates and author reports.
This position is contingent the successful transfer of an active US. Government Secret Clearance prior to start.
Bachelor’s Degree with 12 years of experience, master’s degree with 10 years of experience, Ph.D. with 8 years of experience in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics or related technical fields; an additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

Primary Level Salary Range: $169,000.00 - $253,600.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
