Job summary

Verygoodsecurity is seeking a Staff Infrastructure Engineer to lead platform engineering efforts for global, high-throughput payments services. You will design, scale, and fortify multi-region AWS infrastructure with zero downtime, owning core foundations and reliability across the stack.

You will drive modern SRE practices, automate via IaC and GitOps, and partner with product, security, and core engineering to accelerate feature delivery while maintaining security and compliance standards.

Qualifications

• 7+ years owning outcomes in large-scale distributed systems.
• Proficient in AWS, IaC, and modern automation practices.
• Hands-on with Kubernetes, Docker, and GitOps tooling.

Responsibilities

• Design, scale, and fortify multi-region AWS infrastructure with zero downtime.
• Drive resiliency, automation, and self-healing systems using GitOps and IaC.
• Implement end-to-end observability with Prometheus, Grafana, and OpenTelemetry.
• Partner with Product, Security, and Core Engineering to accelerate delivery.
• Operate high-performance, low-latency connectivity for external customers.
