Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking an experienced backend/platform engineer to join the team building a secure, scalable execution environment behind Claude's capabilities. You will scope multi-month projects, drive cross-org alignment, and make architectural decisions that shape how we build and scale our products.

Ideal candidates have 8+ years of backend or platform experience in distributed systems, strong knowledge of service-oriented design, and proficiency in Python, Go, or Rust.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of backend or platform engineering on scalable distributed systems.
• Strong foundations in service-oriented architectures, networking, and systems design.
• Proficient in Python, Go, or Rust.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure and Kubernetes.
• Owns design through deployment and operations.
• Navigates ambiguity and can operate in 0→1 or mature teams.
• Product-focused approach to robust, scalable platform solutions.
