R1 RCM, Inc. is seeking a Staff Software Engineer for Platform Engineering to drive the long-term platform vision, architecture, and standards.

You will lead cross-functional initiatives across engineering, infrastructure, security, and AI to improve velocity, reliability, and scalability for 250+ engineers and AI practitioners. The role requires deep cloud-native platform experience, strong technical judgment, and the ability to mentor senior engineers while delivering scalable platform

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software engineering experience in large teams.
• Experience leading architecture, implementation, and operations.
• Deep expertise in cloud-native platforms, containers, observability, and reliable delivery.
• Strong leadership and stakeholder influence.

Responsibilities

• Define long-term platform vision and standards.
• Build shared services for 250+ engineers and AI practitioners.
• Lead cross-functional platform initiatives from strategy to adoption.
• Advance cloud-native and DevSecOps across Azure, AKS, Terraform, CI/CD, and observability.
• Mentor senior engineers and guide technical decisions.
