Job summary

Veeam is seeking a Staff Platform Engineer to join the Data Cloud engineering team, focusing on the FedRAMP‑compliant SaaS platform. You will build and maintain automation for software delivery and infrastructure, enabling secure, scalable deployments across teams.

This staff role demands technical leadership, cross‑team collaboration, and a strong bias toward automation, with Go, Kubernetes, and cloud services shaping the daily work.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering experience, including platform/infrastructure or developer tooling
• Proven technical leadership with end-to-end design ownership
• Experience automating infrastructure through code (Pulumi/Terraform)
• Experience with GitHub Actions
• Experience with public cloud services, esp. Azure
• Understanding of operational excellence
• Experience building and supporting enterprise SaaS products
• Ability to learn new technologies quickly and pragmatically
• Ability to scope down complex problems and avoid blockers
• Strong programming ability in Go (primary) and other languages
• Understanding secure design principles in the cloud
• Strong bias toward action and clear communication
• Passion for automation

Responsibilities

• Write and maintain code to automate public cloud infrastructure, software delivery pipelines, and enablement tools
• Write code for internally consumed platform services
• Set technical direction for the platform and lead cross-team initiatives
• Identify high-leverage developer experience and delivery problems and drive solutions
• Raise technical bar through design/code reviews and mentoring
• Collaborate with product engineering, security, and compliance to optimize the paved path, incl. FedRAMP
• Document system design, configurations, processes, and decisions
• Collaborate with remote engineers to build the platform
• Work with containers, serverless, Kubernetes, Golang, Vue, and cloud services in SaaS domain
