Job summary

Veeam is seeking a Platform Engineer for the Data Cloud team to design and automate secure, scalable cloud infrastructure and an Internal Developer Platform. You will collaborate with remote engineers to build the VDC platform and support a modern SaaS data protection product.

The role focuses on containers, serverless stacks, public cloud services, and strong on-call responsibilities. A technical degree and hands-on cloud experience are required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in production operations for a SaaS or cloud service provider.
• Development skills in a high-level programming language like Typescript or Python.
• Experience automating infrastructure through code using Pulumi or Terraform.
• Experience with GitHub Actions.
• Experience with a breadth and depth of public cloud services.
• Experience building and supporting enterprise SaaS products.
• Understanding of operational excellence in a SaaS environment.
• Understanding and experience implementing secure design principles in the cloud.
• Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies quickly and implement those technologies pragmatically.
• Strong bias toward action and direct, frequent communication.
• A university degree in a technical field.

• Document system design, configurations, processes, and decisions to support our async, distributed team culture.
• Collaborate with a team of remote engineers to build the VDC platform.

• On-call rotation for product operations.

About the Role

We’re looking for a Platform Engineer to join the Veeam Data Cloud team. The mission of the Platform Engineering team is to provide a secure, reliable, and easy to use platform to enable our teams to build, test, deploy, and monitor the VDC product.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with cloud infrastructure and software development experience to build the world’s most successful, modern, data protection platform.

Pay Transparency

Veeam is committed to pay transparency and equitable compensation. For this role, the compensation range below reflects the expected total target compensation (TTC), inclusive of base pay and a competitive performance-based bonus. For roles with a commission plan, the compensation range represents On Target Earnings (OTE), which includes base salary plus variable commission. When determining compensation, Veeam takes into consideration factors such as experience, education, skills, and geographic zone. Offers are typically made below the midpoint of the range.

In addition to compensation, Veeam provides a comprehensive benefits package, including health coverage, retirement plans, and unlimited time off.
