Job summary

GE Aerospace is seeking a Staff Infrastructure & Platform Engineer to build and operate the paved road for platform capabilities. You will implement infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD pipelines, and manage shared services and environments to support product teams, while ensuring reliability.

The role emphasizes hands-on implementation, standards conformance, and ongoing ownership growth within a lean, standards-driven team, with exposure to defense/aerospace environments and export controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher with 4+ years of professional experience, or equivalent military experience
• Minimum 3 years in Infrastructure & Platform Engineering or IT
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain features of the golden-path pipeline, shared services, and environments
• Implement infrastructure-as-code for provisioning and environment management
• Participate in monitoring, alerting, and on-call rotation; respond to incidents and support post-incident problem solving
• Support product teams onboarding to the paved road and maintain technical documentation they build against
• Build to architecture and platform standards; raise gaps with proposed patterns instead of local workarounds
