Job summary

GE Aerospace is seeking a Staff Infrastructure & Platform Engineer to hands-on build and operate the paved road platform for product teams. You will implement and run pipelines, shared services, and environments with a focus on reliability and standards conformance.

The role emphasizes building to standards, with growth into deeper ownership, incident response, and on-call participation, contributing to safety, quality, delivery, and cost reductions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher with 4+ years of experience; or 7+ years with Associate's; or 9+ years with HS diploma.
• Minimum 3 years in Infrastructure & Platform Engineering or IT.
• Military experience counts as professional experience.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain features of the golden-path pipeline, shared services, and environments.
• Implement infrastructure-as-code for provisioning and environment management.
• Participate in monitoring, alerting, and on-call rotation; respond to incidents and support post-incident problem solving.
• Help meet the service-level objectives for platform services.
• Support product teams onboarding to the paved road and maintain the technical documentation they build against.
• Build to architecture and platform standards, propose patterns to close gaps.
