Job summary

Bedrock Ocean seeks a Staff Platform Engineer to lead the AI architecture on Amazon Bedrock, creating the orchestration layer, data and retrieval pipelines, and the security model for production data.

This role combines software and infrastructure engineering to expand data pipelines, establish governance, and deliver secure, observable AI capabilities with multi-tenant isolation and self-service tooling for engineers.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in software and infrastructure engineering.
• Hands-on experience standing up Amazon Bedrock in production: agents, knowledge bases, guardrails, and throughput decisions.
• Containerized service deployment on ECS, EKS, or Lambda with CI/CD ownership.
• Practical RAG and vector search experience with embedding, chunking, and vector databases in production.
• Experience designing developer-facing APIs, SDKs, or platform services with an API-first mindset.

Responsibilities

• Architect Agent Orchestration: Bedrock integration, agents, actions, APIs, model access, throughput and deployment.
• Manage Retrieval Data Plane: end-to-end retrieval pipeline from ingestion to storage in OpenSearch Serverless.
• Extend Data Pipelines: adapt ingestion for internal knowledge, ocean data, and customer platforms.
