Job summary

JLL Technologies is seeking a Staff Software Developer to architect end-to-end platform solutions and lead AI-enabled enhancements across the platform. You will own core APIs, reusable frameworks, and backend services while mentoring engineers and shaping architectural decisions at scale.

The role emphasizes cloud-native design on Azure/AWS, microservices, and responsible use of agentic AI tools, with a focus on improving developer experience and platform efficiency for multiple engineering

Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional software engineering experience across multiple technology domains.
• Strong command of object-oriented programming and design patterns, including DDD and event-driven architecture.
• Proficiency in Java, C#, or Python for backend development.
• Experience building AI-powered features and using AI coding tools responsibly.
• Deep cloud-native experience on Azure and/or AWS.
• Ability to document clearly and explain trade-offs to engineers and stakeholders.
• Excellent communication and mentorship skills.

Responsibilities

• Architect and build end-to-end platform solutions, backend services, RESTful APIs, and front-end interfaces as needed.
• Design and operate microservices and event-driven architectures that scale with teams.
• Own platform core APIs and shared frameworks, ensuring strong developer experience.
• Modernize services on Azure and/or AWS with reliable, cost-aware design.
• Lead integration of agentic AI/LLMs and establish guidelines for safe use.
• Mentor senior and lead engineers and influence architecture decisions.
• Collaborate across teams to align platform direction with needs.
