Central Texas Veterans Health Care System (CTVHCS) Diagnostic Imaging Service

is seeking experienced and dynamic radiologists (Physician in Diagnostic Radiology) for Nuclear Medicine and Breast Imaging positions. Ideal applicants are those committed to providing quality care in their respective subspecialty, contributing to the general radiology workflow, and being a team player adaptable to the department's needs. Duties

This is an OPEN & CONTINUOUS ANNOUNCEMENT that will remain open until September 14, 2025, or until positions are filled. Eligible applications will be referred at regular intervals or as additional vacancies occur on an as-needed basis until positions are filled.

Qualifications

To qualify for this position, you must meet the basic requirements and any additional requirements listed in the job announcement. Applicants pending the completion of training or license requirements may be referred and tentatively selected but cannot be hired until all requirements are met. Current VA-employed physicians who met the requirements at their initial appointment are deemed to have met the basic requirements.

Basic Requirements:

• United States Citizenship: Non-citizens may only be appointed when qualified citizens cannot be recruited, in accordance with VA Policy.
• Degree of doctor of medicine or an equivalent degree from an approved medical school.
• Current, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in the U.S.
• Residency Training: Completion of an accredited residency program leading to eligibility for board certification. Approved residencies include those by ACGME, AOA, or other recognized programs with verified practice in the U.S.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English.

Physical Requirements:

Includes but is not limited to: light lifting (<15 pounds), use of fingers, both hands required, walking (1 hr), standing (1 hr), near vision correctable to Jaeger 1-4, far vision correctable to 20/20 in one eye and 20/40 in the other, color vision, hearing aid permitted, etc.
