Job summary

Centurion Health is seeking a full-time Physician for Pontiac Correctional Center in Pontiac, Illinois. The physician provides medical assessments and evaluations, treats emergent, urgent, and routine issues, and supervises treatment for chronic conditions in a correctional setting.

The role works under the Site Medical Director and collaborates with the Health Services Administrator to ensure clinically appropriate services.

Qualifications

• Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school is required.
• Active and unrestricted MD/DO license or the ability to obtain one is required.
• Board Certified/Eligible in FM/IM/EM Primary Care is required.
• Current DEA and CDS registration.

Centurion is proud to be the provider of comprehensive services to the Illinois Department of Corrections. We are currently seeking a Full-Time Physician to join our team at Pontiac Correctional Center in Pontiac, Illinois.

The Physician provides medical assessments and evaluations, provides treatment for emergent, urgent, and routine medical issues, provides and supervises medical treatment for chronic medical conditions, and participates in organizational initiatives to help prevent diseases and injuries of patients in a correctional setting. The Primary Care Physician works under the direction of the Site Medical Director and/or the Statewide Medical Director and collaborates with the Health Services Administrator to ensure that efficient and clinically appropriate medical services are provided.

Hourly rate of $125 or more based upon years of experience.

Qualifications

• Correctional Healthcare experience preferred not required
