Job summary

The MetroHealth System provides Specialty Pharmacy Services at a proficient level of Pharmacy practice and upholds its mission, vision, values, and customer service standards. This role requires a BS in Pharmacy with an Ohio Pharmacist license and an active immunization delivery certificate, plus MTM billing knowledge and strong communication across diverse populations.

Professional travel between MetroHealth locations is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy from an Ohio Board of Pharmacy approved institution.
• Current Pharmacist License from the State of Ohio Board of Pharmacy.
• Current Pharmacy-Based Immunization Delivery certificate from the APhA or equivalent certified by the Ohio Board of Pharmacy.
• Active NPI number for credentialing and/OARRS account.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA or within 90 days of hire.
• Reliable transportation to travel between MetroHealth locations as needed.
• Strong knowledge of billing practices for Medication Therapy Management (MTM).
• Ability to interact effectively with diverse cultural, ethnic, racial, and socioeconomic backgrounds.

Biweekly Hours: 80.00

Shift: Monday-Friday; 7a-7p Rotating Shifts, rotating occasional weekends/holidays

Qualifications:

Required:

• Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy from a State of Ohio Board of Pharmacy approved institution.
• Possesses a current Pharmacist License from the State of Ohio Board of Pharmacy.
• Possesses a current Pharmacy-Based Immunization Delivery certificate from the American Pharmacist Association (APhA), or an equivalent certification from a program recognized by the State of Ohio Board of Pharmacy.
• Active National Provider Identifier (NPI) number for credentialing and Ohio Automated Rx Reporting System (OARRS) account.
• Possess a current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or obtains within 90 days of hire.
• Reliable transportation to travel between various MetroHealth locations as needed.
• Strong knowledge of billing practices for Medication Therapy Management (MTM).
• Ability to interact effectively with a wide range of cultural, ethnic, racial, and socioeconomic backgrounds.

Preferred:

• Pharm.D. degree from a State of Ohio Board of Pharmacy approved institution.
• Completion of an American Society of Health-Systems Pharmacists (ASHP) accredited residency.
• Demonstrated effectiveness in time management, support staff supervision, problem identification/resolution, and decision-making.
• Membership in the American College of Clinical Pharmacy (ACCP) and or the American Society of Health System Pharmacists (ASHP) Experience in ASHP residency requirements, including current preceptor for students.
• Board Certification in Specialty Pharmacy, Ambulatory Care, or other similar certification.
• Completion of 30 hours of Specialty Pharmacy continuing education in chosen area of expertise within the previous two (2) years.
• One year of experience working within a specialty pharmacy.
• Demonstrated experience with accreditation processes and insurance contracts.

Physical Requirements:

• May sit, stand, stoop, bend, and ambulate intermittently during the day. May need to sit or stand for extended periods.
• See in the normal visual range with or without correction. Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction.
• Finger dexterity to operate office equipment required.
• Ability to communicate in face-to-face, phone, email, and other communications.
