Staff Pharmacist - Accredo - Remote, AZ, FL, OH, TN, PA

Position Overview

This is a full-time remote position. Ideal candidates must reside in AZ, FL, OH, PA, or TN.

Training will last approximately 6–9 months, during which hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00 am - 6 pm Eastern Time. Post-training hours shift to Monday through Friday, 11:00 am - 8:00 pm Eastern Time. The role includes a 1-week on-call rotation twice per year and two Saturdays annually.

Responsibilities

1. Oversee and ensure quality assurance for pharmacy technicians.
2. Interpret prescriptions and verify information with prescribers or patients.
3. Verify and confirm the validity of controlled substances.
4. Contact physicians for prescription clarifications or transfers.
5. Assist in converting prescriptions to generic or preferred drugs.
6. Consult with patients on medication use and potential interactions.
7. Back up other pharmacists and train less experienced staff as needed.

Qualifications

Technical Requirements

Compensation and Benefits

Hourly rate ranges from $53 to $89, depending on experience and location. The role may include participation in an annual bonus plan. Benefits include health coverage, 401(k), life insurance, tuition reimbursement, paid time off, and holidays.
