Job summary

JobRx, Inc. is seeking a licensed Pharmacist to perform essential duties related to drug distribution and compounding at Eastside Medical Center in Snellville, Georgia. The successful candidate will ensure quality patient care through optimal medication therapy, which includes supervising pharmacy technicians and monitoring the completeness of orders.

Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy from an ACPE-accredited school and a valid pharmacist license in Georgia. While no prior experience is required, hospital pharmacy experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Licensed pharmacist in the state of Georgia upon hire.
• Hospital pharmacy experience preferred.

Performs duties of distribution, documentation and compounding related to drugs, solutions and equipment to meet the needs of patients and staff. Responsible for reviewing, compounding, dispensing and monitoring medication therapy for infants, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients which includes dosing variations, nutritional needs and disease states associated with the various age groups. Supervises pharmacy technician activities including monitoring of all orders filled by auxiliary personnel. Assumes responsibility for competency and self-development in professional pharmacy practice. Performs patient focused care clinical activities throughout the hospital, to provide patients with optimal medication therapy.
