Job Description:

We’re seeking an experienced pharmacist to join our team at River Edge Crisis Services and Diagnostic Center on an as-needed (PRN) basis. The ideal candidate works well in a team environment, is detail-oriented, and possesses strong communication and problem-solving skills. This position offers a competitive pay rate, with potential adjustments based on experience and qualifications, as well as opportunities for advancement, employee recognition, and team collaboration.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Fulfill all legal and regulatory requirements, including evaluation, selection, procurement, and distribution of drugs, counseling, and professional consultation.
2. Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations, as well as policies of the hospital and PharmD on Demand.
3. Interpret physician medication orders.
4. Compound and dispense prescribed medications and other pharmaceuticals for patient care, performing related duties.
5. Utilize pharmaceutical equipment, including automated dispensing machines, laminar flow hoods, and compounding equipment.
6. Represent the hospital and PharmD on Demand professionally and positively.
7. Maintain customer confidentiality at all times.
8. Comply with all organizational policies regarding ethical business practices.
9. Exercise sound judgment in decision-making.
10. Interact effectively with diverse individuals.
11. Maintain professionalism in all situations.
12. Use time effectively and efficiently.
13. Answer calls from the facility and return to the pharmacy as needed.

Position Requirements:

• Current pharmacist licensure in the applicable state(s).
