Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Staff Pharmacist to lead and support pharmacy operations within a CVS Retail location. You will oversee dispensing, counseling, and immunization services while coaching the pharmacy team to deliver high-quality patient care.

The role requires active pharmacist license in the state, an active NPI, and compliance with all regulatory and CVS policies. Excellent patient service and teamwork are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Active Pharmacist License in the state where the store is located.
• Active National Provider Identifier (NPI).
• Not on the DEA Excluded Parties list.

Responsibilities

• Living our purpose by helping to manage and improve patient health through safe and appropriate dispensing, counseling, and immunizing practices.
• Overseeing the pharmacy as a proxy to the Pharmacy Manager during bench shifts and coaching the team.
• Assumes Manager’s duties when serving as the primary pharmacist-on-duty.
• Support safe prescription fulfillment by following workflow procedures and safety guardrails.
• Deliver immunizations and coach technicians to immunize under appropriate scope.
• Help manage pharmacy inventory with focus on cold chain products and overall stock control.
• Ensure operations comply with state Board of Pharmacy regulations and CVS Health policies.
• Maintain scheduling and contribute to a safe, inclusive team environment.
