Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Staff Pharmacist to join our retail pharmacy team. You will support the Pharmacy Manager, oversee pharmacy operations, ensure safe dispensing, provide patient counseling, and participate in immunization efforts to improve patient outcomes.

You will lead a knowledgeable team, maintain compliance with state and federal regulations, and focus on delivering compassionate care in a fast-paced pharmacy environment. This full‑time, on‑site role offers comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Active Pharmacist License in the state where the Store is located
• Active National Provider Identifier (NPI)
• Not on the DEA Excluded Parties list

Responsibilities

• Manage safe and accurate prescription fulfillment by following pharmacy workflow procedures and safeguarding patient safety.
• Oversee the pharmacy as Pharmacy Manager's proxy during bench shifts and coach the team on performance.
• Dispense medications, counsel patients, and immunize where permissible to improve patient health outcomes.
• Lead inventory management with emphasis on cold-chain products and regulatory compliance.
• Maintain up-to-date clinical and technical skills through trainings and CMEs; support access to care and team-based care.
