Job summary

Precision Medicine in Bellmore, NY seeks a Staff Pharmacist to verify prescriptions (PV1/PV2), oversee non-sterile compounded medications, and ensure safe dispensing. This is an on-site, full-time role with a Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:00pm schedule and reports to the Lead Pharmacist.

The ideal candidate holds a PharmD or BS in Pharmacy, maintains an active NY license, and excels at attention to detail, managing high-volume workflows, and collaboration with technicians.

Qualifications

• PharmD or BS in Pharmacy from an accredited program.
• Active New York Pharmacist license in good standing.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to manage high-volume prescription workflows.
• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Availability to work Monday through Friday, 8am-4pm.

Responsibilities

• Perform PV1 and PV2 prescription verification with a high degree of accuracy.
• Conduct final verification prior to fulfillment and shipment.
• Review non-sterile compounded preparations for accuracy, labeling, and documentation.
• Validate formulations prepared by the lab to ensure compliance with internal standards.
• Ensure compliance with USP and USP guidelines.
• Support and oversee pharmacy technicians throughout workflow.
• Maintain efficient processing in a high-volume environment during overnight operations.
• Identify and resolve verification or processing issues.
• Ensure proper handling and documentation of controlled substances.
• Maintain an organized, inspection-ready pharmacy environment.
• Communicate updates and outstanding items for operational continuity and smooth shift handoffs.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support pharmacy operations, patient safety, and regulatory compliance.
