Job summary

Meijer Pharmacy is seeking a qualified pharmacist to fill prescriptions safely and accurately while building strong patient relationships in Indiana.

In this role you will mentor pharmacy technicians, supervise operations in the pharmacist's absence, ensure compliance with state and federal laws, and deliver clinical services including immunizations where allowed, all to advance Meijer’s patient care goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree or Doctorate of Pharmacy.
• Registered and licensed to practice in the state.
• Certified Immunization Pharmacist (except Indiana).
• Retail/Community Practice experience.
• Working knowledge of pharmacy systems and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Fill prescriptions safely and accurately.
• Maintain positive relationships with patients, team members and leadership.
• Educate and mentor pharmacy technicians.
• Motivate team members to perform to their highest level.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal laws.
• Oversee pharmacy operations in the absence of the pharmacist in charge; perform clinical services including immunizations when allowed.

What You'll Be Doing

• Fill prescriptions safely accurately.
• Maintain positive relationships with patients, team members and leadership.
• Hold pharmacy technicians accountable for results in an appropriate and effective manner and have a vision to expand and grow the pharmacy business.
• Educate and mentor pharmacy technicians to be effective team members.
• Motivate team members to perform to their highest level.
• Competent and knowledgeable of Meijer Policies and Procedures as well as state and federal laws.
• Effective communication skills and agent of change.
• Excellent organization skills with the ability to prioritize workload.
• Listen to the patient and resolve patient's needs, customer service.
• In the absence of the pharmacist in charge, will be responsible for the pharmacy operations.
• Perform and oversee (where allowed) clinical services, including immunizations
