Position Overview

Step into a dynamic role as a Staff Pharmacist, where you'll ensure safe and accurate prescription fulfillment, provide exceptional patient care, and mentor a high-performing pharmacy team. This position requires practicing pharmacy in an environment that promotes patient care and education according to our philosophy and policies. The candidate must be patient-focused, clinically oriented, and have a vision to elevate Meijer Pharmacy's patient care services.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Fill prescriptions safely and accurately.
• Maintain positive relationships with patients, team members, and leadership.
• Hold pharmacy technicians accountable and foster growth in the pharmacy business.
• Educate and mentor pharmacy technicians.
• Motivate team members to perform at their best.
• Be knowledgeable of Meijer Policies, Procedures, and relevant laws.
• Communicate effectively and be an agent of change.
• Organize workload efficiently.
• Listen to patients and address their needs to ensure excellent customer service.
• In the absence of the pharmacist in charge, oversee pharmacy operations.
• Perform and oversee clinical services, including immunizations where permitted.
• This profile is not exhaustive; additional duties may be assigned.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science or Doctorate of Pharmacy degree.
• Registered and licensed to practice in the state.
• Certified Immunization Pharmacist (except Indiana).
• Experience in retail/community pharmacy practice.
• Knowledge of pharmacy systems, policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements in the practice state.
