This position is worksite dependent and can only be performed onsite at our Fairfield, OH location.

The shift schedule for this position is Monday - Friday, 2:30 pm - 11:00 pm ET.

Job Description

As a Staff Pharmacist with Express Scripts Pharmacy, you will be responsible for verifying and dispensing medications within corporate and regulatory guidelines. You will also maintain daily production, quality, and service levels, adapt work priorities to meet business needs, and may train less experienced pharmacists.

What You Will Do

• Provide oversight and quality assurance to pharmacy technicians. Interpret physicians’ or prescribers’ prescriptions.
• Perform verification on all medications leaving the pharmacy to ensure correct patient, medication, quantity, and supplies prior to final verification.
• Back up other pharmacists as needed, perform additional duties as assigned by management, or train less experienced pharmacists.

What You Will Need To Do The Job

• Graduate of ACPE Accreditation School of Pharmacy with a B.S. Pharmacy or Pharm.D degree.
• Current resident pharmacist license in good standing.
• Advanced problem-solving skills and ability to collaborate with other departments to resolve issues.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to adapt in a changing environment.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Flexibility to work during peak volume times.
