Our Staff Pharmacists play a critical role in cultivating a culture of excellence in their pharmacy by acting as role models, demonstrating genuine care, and setting the standard for the pharmacy team. As a Staff Pharmacist, you are at the forefront of delivering our purpose, modeling our values, and providing authentic care for our patients.

Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

1. Helping manage and improve patient health through safe dispensing, counseling, and immunizations.
2. Supporting the Pharmacy Manager by overseeing pharmacy operations during bench shifts and providing feedback on team performance.
3. Assuming the Pharmacy Manager’s duties when serving as the primary pharmacist-on-duty.
4. Ensuring safe and accurate prescription fulfillment by following workflow procedures and safety protocols.
5. Contributing to positive patient experiences through empathy, collaboration, and proactive issue resolution.
6. Offering and administering immunizations and supporting pharmacy technicians in immunization practices.
7. Managing pharmacy inventory effectively, with special attention to cold chain products.
8. Ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations and CVS policies.
9. Remaining flexible to meet scheduling and business needs, including assisting with the pharmacy schedule.
10. Maintaining and expanding clinical and technical skills through ongoing training and education.
11. Supporting access to care via pharmacist-delivered clinical services where permissible.
12. Adhering to all applicable laws, regulations, and ethical standards to ensure patient safety and a respectful workplace.
