Job summary

Access Family Pharmacy in Hixson, TN is the largest location and serves as the training hub for the group. A pharmacist is needed to float across Jasper Drugs, Whitwell Pharmacy and Cates Street Pharmacy, handling daily operations and patient care.

The role requires an active TN pharmacist license, background check, drug test, and immunizations certification. Travel between stores (30–40 hours/week, including two Saturdays per month) is required, with starting pay of $58–$62 per hour.

Job description

Jasper Drugs [Jasper, TN], Whitwell Pharmacy [Whitwell, TN], and Cates Street Pharmacy [Dunlap, TN] are part of a group of locally owned, family-owned pharmacies. We're currently looking for a pharmacist to float between these three locations. Each of these stores is a classic small-town pharmacy where the staff know the patients and the patients know the staff. It's important for the pharmacist to connect with patients and form relationships that make it easy to provide personalized and attentive care.

Access Family Pharmacy in Hixson, TN is also a part of this group of pharmacies. The pharmacist would be trained at Access initially so that they can learn about all of the services offered at this largest location. These services include compounding, an extensive durable medical equipment department, and a LTC pharmacy.

Jasper Drugs, Whitwell Pharmacy, and Cates Street Pharmacy all have a store manager and PIC who are ultimately responsible for pharmacy operations, staffing, and admin tasks. However, the pharmacist on duty will be responsible for that day's pharmacy operations and working in partnership with the store manager. While the pharmacist does oversee the techs, we are all a team at our stores! No person or position is any more important than another, and a teamwork-based attitude will be required for success in this role.

Required Qualifications:

An active TN pharmacist license in good standing is required. We will require a background check for employment following the FCRA’s guidelines; any positive results will be evaluated per the EEOC’s guidelines. We will require a drug test for employment; any positive results will disqualify a candidate for employment. Certification to give immunizations is required.

Travel will be required between Jasper, Whitwell, and Dunlap. This position may be between 30 and 40 hours per week depending on your needs and the needs of each of the stores. You will have a regular schedule, and 2 Saturdays per month will be required. The starting pay is $58 - $62 per hour, depending on experience. This is an hourly, exempt position. Store hours and more scheduling details will be discussed during the interview process.
