Job summary

MercyOne Dubuque is seeking a Staff Pharmacist to provide pharmaceutical care for inpatients, outpatients and home health patients. The role includes education and support for patients, guests, and hospital staff within MercyOne Medical Center.

Schedule is 7 on–7 off, night shift from 9:00 pm to 7:30 am, with a full benefits package and opportunities for growth across MercyOne Health System. Licensed Iowa pharmacist with a hospital background is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in pharmacy.
• Licensed to practice pharmacy in the State of Iowa.
• Hospital experience in unit-dose, IV additives or clinical pharmacy is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide pharmaceutical care to inpatients, outpatients, and home health patients.
• Educate patients, guests, clients, hospital staff and medical staff.
• Support educational and employee services within MercyOne Medical Center.

As a Staff Pharmacist at MercyOne, you will be involved in the provision of pharmaceutical care to inpatients, outpatients, and home health patients ranging in age from premature newborns to geriatrics. Be involved in the provision of educational and employee services to patients, guests, clients, hospital, and medical staff of MercyOne Medical Center.

• Wednesday - Tuesday

• 9:0 pm - 7:30 am

General Requirements :

• Bachelor's degree in pharmacy
• Licensed to practice pharmacy in the State of Iowa
• Previous hospital experience in unit-dose, IV additive and clinical pharmacy programs is desirable
