Job summary

Analog Devices, Inc. is seeking a Staff PDK Development Engineer to build PDK components for internal processes, including schematic symbols, PCELLs, and DRC/LVS/PEX decks.

You will work with cross-functional teams across PDK Development, Modeling, ESD and Process Engineering to enable efficient CAD tool usage and verify flows. The role emphasizes programming skills, circuit design knowledge, and collaboration with foundries to deliver reliable process kits for analog, mixed-signal and power

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Electrical or Computer Engineering with emphasis on IC design/semiconductor processes.
• Experience with CDFs, Callbacks, Layout P-cells, & schematic symbols.
• Experience in DRC/LVS & Parasitic Extraction runsets.
• Automation and programming in SKILL, Perl, Python, Tcl, Bash.
• Understanding of analog/mixed signal simulation tools is preferred.
• Familiarity with EDA tools and revision control systems.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Detail-oriented, well organized, versatile team player.

Responsibilities

• Develop schematic symbols, CDFs, and callbacks.
• Create device layout generators (PCELLs).
• Improve DRC/LVS rule decks for physical verification.
• Develop ERC verification rule decks.
• Develop Parasitic Extraction (PEX) files and flows.
• Improve automated QA procedures for design kits.
• Produce LVL and SVS check runsets.
• Maintain netlist generation for analog simulations.
• Collaborate with EDA vendors to resolve tool bugs and add features.
• Support design teams with CAD tooling and methodologies.
