Job summary

Ahwatukee Post Acute is seeking a Staff Occupational Therapist Assistant to assist the Staff Occupational Therapist with resident care, documentation, and treatment activities. You will help ensure safe, effective therapies while maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to facility policies.

This role emphasizes collaboration with nursing and interdisciplinary teams to support progress, discharge planning, and safety within a rehabilitation setting.

Qualifications

• Associate degree from an accredited COTA program.
• Proficient in Net Health and Point Click Care data entry.
• Ability to read technical procedures and policy manuals.
• Effective communication with managers, coworkers and families.

Responsibilities

• Treat residents as directed by the Occupational Therapist.
• Complete timely, accurate, and compliant documentation.
• Maintain a safe treatment environment following infection control protocols.
• Participate in Resident Care conferences and rehabilitation meetings.
• Assist nursing with training of Restorative Aides.
• Communicate with supervising OT to update physicians and care teams.
• Educate residents and families on treatment goals and home exercise programs.
• Recommend and facilitate ordering of durable medical equipment as needed.
