The Remote Staff Nurse (RN or LPN) is an integral member of the interdisciplinary healthcare team, responsible for delivering high-quality nursing care, patient education, and triage via telehealth and other remote platforms. This position requires an active nursing license in the state of Oklahoma and a strong commitment to serving a diverse patient population in a virtual care environment.

Qualifications:

• Active RN or LPN license in the state of Oklahoma (required)
• Experience in ambulatory care or telehealth preferred
• Strong clinical assessment, communication, and teaching skills

Key Responsibilities:

Remote Nursing Care & Triage

• Conduct virtual patient assessments, chronic disease management check-ins, and preventive health screenings
• Provide telephonic and/or video triage using approved protocols and clinical judgment
• Coordinate care with providers and interdisciplinary teams to ensure continuity and quality
• Respond to patient phone calls and secure messages in a timely, professional manner
• Document all care activities, patient education, and provider communications accurately in the EHR
  
  

Patient Education & Advocacy

• Educate patients on medications, chronic disease management, preventive care, and follow-up needs
• Advocate for patient needs, helping to navigate referrals, medication assistance programs, and community resources
  
  

Clinical Support & Compliance

• Monitor and manage patient care coordination, including medication refills, lab follow-ups, and outreach for missed appointments
• Assist with remote monitoring programs and identify trends requiring provider input
• Follow all HIPAA, infection control (as applicable), and OSHA standards for remote practice
• Participate in staff meetings, ongoing training, and quality improvement initiatives
  
  

Professionalism & Growth:

• Maintain active Oklahoma nursing license and complete all required annual training
• Demonstrate flexibility, professionalism, and initiative in a remote work environment
• Engage in continuing education to enhance telehealth skills and clinical knowledge
