Job summary

Hennepin Healthcare is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Cath Lab in Minneapolis. The role is 0.7 FTE (56 hours per pay period) with Day shifts, 8-hour shifts, and call per unit policy. Sign-on bonus of $5,000 is available for eligible external candidates.

You will work within the Patient and Family Centered Care model, providing nursing care and coordinating interventions for cardiac cath lab patients.

Qualifications

• 1 year of recent adult ICU and/or Cardiac Cath Lab professional nursing experience within the last 3 years.
• ACLS Certification.
• Ability to wear lead aprons during cases and stand for long periods, assisting with moving patients including wheelchairs, beds, and carts.
• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Possession of a valid RN license issued by the State of Minnesota.

• Note: You may be trained to support echo, rehab, device, and EKG teams.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Within the context of the Hennepin Healthcare System Patient and Family Centered Care model, and under general supervision, the registered nurse provides and coordinates nursing care by:

• Protecting, promoting, and optimizing health
• Preventing illness and injury
• Alleviating suffering through the treatment of the human response
• Partnering with the patient, their family and significant others
• Documenting interventions and an individualized plan of care

Minimum Qualifications

• 1 year of recent adult ICU and/or Cardiac Cath Lab professional nursing (RN) experience within the last 3 years
• ACLS Certification
• Ability to wear lead aprons during cases and be able to stand for long periods of time and assist with moving patients including wheelchairs, beds, and carts
• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
• Possession of a valid license as a Registered Nurse issued by the State of Minnesota

Preferred Qualifications

• Certification in area of clinical specialty
• BSN Preferred. Bachelor of Nursing degree is strongly encouraged. Advancement in academic education will be discussed as part of individual professional development during the annual performance review.
