Job summary

Hennepin Healthcare in Minneapolis, MN is seeking a Registered Nurse to support the Cath Lab and ICU teams within their cardiac care suite. The role emphasizes patient-centered care, coordination, and safety during procedures.

Qualifications

• 1 year of recent adult ICU and/or Cardiac Cath Lab experience within the last 3 years.
• ACLS Certification
• Ability to wear lead aprons during cases and stand for long periods, assisting with moving patients including wheelchairs, beds, and carts.
• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
• Possession of a valid Registered Nurse license issued by the State of Minnesota

JOB DETAILS

• Department: Cath Lab
• FTE: 0.7 (56 hours per pay period)
• Number of shifts per pay period: Shift(s): Days
• Shift Length: 8 hours
• Call: per unit policy
• Note: You may be trained to support echo, rehab, device, and EKG teams.
• Sign-On Bonus: $5000* *Sign on bonus is available for eligible external candidates (current employees, contract/temporary workers, and former employees returning to HHS within one year are ineligible).

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Within the context of the Hennepin Healthcare System Patient and Family Centered Care model, and under general supervision, the registered nurse provides and coordinates nursing care by: - Protecting, promoting, and optimizing health - Preventing illness and injury - Alleviating suffering through the treatment of the human response - Partnering with the patient, their family and significant others - Documenting interventions and an individualized plan of care

Minimum Qualifications

• 1 year of recent adult ICU and/or Cardiac Cath Lab professional nursing (RN) experience within the last 3 years
• ACLS Certification
• Ability to wear lead aprons during cases and be able to stand for long periods of time and assist with moving patients including wheelchairs, beds, and carts
• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
• Possession of a valid license as a Registered Nurse issued by the State of Minnesota

Preferred Qualifications

• Certification in area of clinical specialty
• BSN Preferred. Bachelor of Nursing degree is strongly encouraged. Advancement in academic education will be discussed as part of individual professional development during the annual performance review.
