Job summary

Mount Sinai is seeking a Clinical Nurse to provide safe, patient-centered care within a structured nursing model. You will participate in assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care for a designated patient group and their families.

Responsibilities include collaborating with the health care team, educating patients, and contributing to quality and safety initiatives while performing charge nurse duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Current license as a Registered Nurse in New York State.
• BSN preferred; ADN acceptable with approval per CNO.
• Basic Life Support (BCLS) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high quality patient care using the nursing process.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care with the interdisciplinary team.
• Coordinate care and resource use; document accurately per standards.
• Educate patients and families about plan of care, transitions, and health promotion.
• Engage in quality and safety initiatives and clinical improvement projects.
• Serve as charge nurse and participate in unit operations and throughput.
