Job summary

Milestone is seeking a Staff Nurse (RN, LPN/LVN) to provide high-quality clinical care and support for residents in our Assisted Living and Memory Care communities. You’ll assess resident health status, develop and update care plans, and communicate with staff and families to ensure regulatory compliance.

You’ll foster a safe, compassionate, and engaging environment while supporting the professional growth of the care team. This position has a starting wage of $38 per hour.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.
• Valid State Nursing License (RN or LPN/LVN) required.
• Minimum 1 year nursing or caregiving experience.
• Experience with MS Word and Excel.
• Strong clinical assessment, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess residents’ health on admission and ongoing changes, update individualized care plans.
• Communicate resident needs to the Director, Health and Wellness, staff, and families.
• Participate in hands-on care and follow residents’ care plans.
• Train and support care staff to meet continuing education and competency requirements.
• Transcribe and review physician orders; monitor medication administration and MAR reviews.
• Ensure compliance with state, federal, and local regulations, including HIPAA, OSHA, and Bloodborne Pathogen Guidelines.
• Participate in Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) initiatives and report issues to leadership.
• Work safely and model safe practices for staff; correct unsafe actions as needed.
• Foster teamwork, show initiative, and positively impact coworkers, residents, and visitors.
• Report any elder maltreatment or abuse in accordance with policy.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred
• Valid State Nursing License (RN or LPN/LVN); required certifications as mandated by state
• Minimum 1 year of nursing or caregiving experience, preferably in Assisted Living or Memory Care
• Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel; familiarity with human resource rules a plus
• Strong clinical assessment skills, conflict resolution, and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
• Compassion for and desire to work with the elderly
• Self-motivated, organized, detail-oriented, and able to work independently
